Review Guidelines & Moderation Policy
Who can leave a review?
Anyone who has used a listed business can submit a review. We require an order number, booking reference, or similar proof of engagement, plus verifiable contact details, before a review is published.
How we verify a review?
Every submission is checked against the reference and contact details provided. Reviews that don’t pass this check are not published. We don’t publish anonymous or unverifiable reviews.
What gets rejected
- Reviews with no genuine order/booking reference we can confirm
- Reviews containing personal information about third parties, threats, or abusive language
- Reviews written by the business itself about its own listing, or by a direct competitor
- Duplicate or near-identical reviews from the same source
Business replies
Verified businesses can reply publicly to any review on their listing — this gives them a fair chance to add context, explain a resolution, or thank a customer. Businesses cannot edit, remove, or hide a customer’s review. A reply appears alongside the original review, not in place of it.
Negative reviews
We do not remove or edit a review for being negative. A verified review stays published regardless of star rating — a business’s only route to respond is the public reply above, not removal.
How businesses get verified
A business becomes a Verified Company, with reply access enabled, when they contact us from their company email confirming ownership of the listing.
Requesting a review's removal
A business can request removal only where a review breaches the rules above (e.g. it’s not from a genuine customer, or it discloses another person’s private information). We investigate every request. Disagreeing with a review, or wanting to reply instead of having it removed, is not grounds for removal — that’s what business replies are for.
