Worth It for the Convenience

I probably could have rewritten my CV myself, but I kept finding excuses not to do it. Having someone else handle the structure and wording saved me a lot of time. There are still jobs where I make small adjustments, but the main document is now sorted.

I Wasn't Expecting Overnight Results

I didn't suddenly start getting interviews immediately after receiving the new CV, so I wouldn't say it was an instant solution. However, the document is definitely more professional than what I had before. It has given me a better foundation for my ongoing job search.

A Bit of Back and Forth

There were more revisions than I expected because I wanted certain achievements presented differently. At times the process felt a little slow, especially when waiting for changes. In the end, though, the extra revisions produced a CV I was comfortable using.

The ATS Advice Was Useful

I'd heard employers use ATS software but had no idea whether my CV was suitable for it. The new format was cleaner and easier to use for online applications. I also understood much better why certain formatting choices can cause problems.

My Career Change Looks More Logical

I was worried that recruiters would see my career history as too unrelated to the jobs I was now targeting. The new CV focuses much more on transferable skills and relevant achievements. It tells a much clearer story about why I'm changing direction.

I Expected More Personalisation

I felt the first draft could have been more tailored to the type of roles I was targeting. Some sections sounded a little generic to me. After providing more details about my career goals, the final version was considerably better.

Faster Than Doing It Myself

I'd been saying I would update my CV for months and kept putting it off. Once I decided to get professional help, the process was much quicker than trying to rewrite everything myself. Having a finished document finally gave me the push to start applying again.

Helped With My Graduate Applications

I wasn't sure how to make a graduate CV interesting when most of my experience was from university projects and part-time work. The writer helped me present those things more effectively. It gave me a lot more confidence when applying for entry-level positions.

Not Quite My Style at First

The first version was professionally written, but some of the wording felt a little too formal for me. I gave them my feedback and the revised version sounded much more natural. It took an extra round of changes, but we got there.

A Stronger First Impression

My old CV wasn't terrible, but it didn't really show what I had achieved in my previous roles. The rewrite brought the stronger parts of my experience forward and made the whole thing easier to scan. I'm much happier with it now.
