Saga continues, but absolutely never again….. My wife and I walked into Furniture village in Enfield on 5th September 2025 and on arrival one of the sales agent Mark met with us. His salesmanship was incredible, and we were thoroughly impressed by how he meticulously took us through the options of the furniture we wanted. We were moving into a new home, so we wanted everything brand new and overly excited at the options we saw. Mark talked about the history of Furniture Village and how he will be our support and contact all the journey until everything was delivered and installed. I was quite impressed however I had always wanted well-known brands so told Mark we were still weighing our options so we will let him know. With the quotation in our hands and Mark’s contact we went off to check other stores. Our search revealed better options, pricing and delivery; however, my wife was really concerned about Mark’s commission and so decided to order our own bed and dining table as the prices were within the same range as the alternatives. I called Mark the next day and placed the order over the phone. That was the end of the exceptional marketing service and the beginning of the worst shopping nightmare I have ever experienced and continue to experience. I received the order confirmation on 8th September 2025 and ever since I have been the one constantly chasing up on Furniture Village, it took 3 reminders to get confirmation of the delivery dates which was initially set for 1st December 2025, then moved to 5th December 2025, then to 17th December 2025 and finally 22nd December 2025. If I thought the lack of communication was terrible, then you can only imagine my utmost shock when I walked into Furniture Village on 29th September 2025. I walked and saw Mark with me beaming with smiles based on our last encounter fresh in my minds, instead Mark practically looked at me as if he was seeing me for the very first time.Its possible he has dealt with numerous customers so when I reminded him who I was and also told him my order reference number there was zero change in his reception towards me. I asked about my delivery and that’s when he told me its no longer 1st December 2025. I told him I still needed a few more things for the house, he didn’t even get up from his seat unlike the last time but simply told me to look around. These were signs that should have told me to brace myself up for far more worse customer experience. I kept following up on the deliveries, and the next thing is that before they can arrange delivery I must complete payment. I asked if I could complete payment over the phone but Mark insisted I must go in store to do this. I was shocked since initial deposit was taken over the phone and more shocked as the other places I ordered the remainder of the furniture from collected balance of the phone. Mark said delivery was coming in on the 16th December 2025 and that once I made payment delivery will be 17th December 2025. I ran into the store on 16th December 2025 to make payment and informed Mark and all I got was another message that I should call the office. This when it started to dawn on me that Furniture Village will never call their customers, you have to chase them up. When I was completely drained from the lack of response, I went on the Furniture Village IG and whilst I do get replies to my message’s hours later, it wasn’t any different. I was simply told delivery is now 22nd December 2025 and that after the delivery I should go back to the store for some form of compensation. I told them why they don’t simply put the compensation into an earlier delivery. I eventually received a text message on 22nd December 2025 that my delivery will be between 1:59PM and 4:59PM but the IG folks said between 2:00PM and 6:00PM. I eventually got a call from the delivery person around 5:17PM informing me that they were running late but estimate that they will at my house in the next 60-90 minutes. I told him I have been waiting all day and was willing to wait for as long as it will take. Delivery gentleman shows up at approximately 7:15PM and I breathed a big sign of relief, I didn’t know my nightmare was going to continue. First my dining table did not come along with the delivery and after carrying the bed parts upstairs to my room, while commencing the installation, discovered that the bedhead frame was defective and therefore installation will no longer be possible. My wife and I have been sleeping on the floor of new home and meals have had to be practically standing since we don’t have our dining table. In anticipation of the delivery, we removed all the duvets placed on the floor and were looking forward to our first night on our bed since we moved in over 3 weeks ago. We have guests coming over for Christmas eve and Christmas day, my wife and I zero clue how we will handle this, our bodies are sore from sleeping on duvets on the floor. Its now almost midday on 23rd December 2025, I have called Furniture Village as usual they said they will call back but zero calls. Sent several messages to the IG team, same feedback someone will call you, and yet absolutely nothing. Sent a message to Mark, zero acknowledgement. Standing here in the kitchen and dining area and wondering if this is all just a bad dream I will wake up from.
Don't buy!
Awful company and utterly appalling customer experience! Please do yourselves a favour and don't buy anything from them!! Long story short....I made the mistake to buy a bed in May 2024. Order was lost and bed could not be located, had to reorder and finally received it FAULTY in December! A technician came to review in June 2025 and ordered a new part. Delivery was arranged for October, but never happened. I tried for a month to find out what happened only to be told that there is NO part as the bed has been discontinued. I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!

Do not buy from furniture village
They sell you fake 20 year guarantee but when the product has a fault after 3 years they hit you with terms and conditions. I bought a bed which they damaged when building so offer me £250 after 5 phone calls and 5 hours on the phone. After one and half years they replace the piston on the bed and the contractor tells me that they did not build it properly and will only last a few years and get a replacement. After 3 years the the bolts on the frame are damaged due to poor frame and build quality. When I asked for a replacement they hit you with terms and conditions that certain part are only covered for 2 years, although they promise you a 20 years guarantee. There customer service is very poor in dealing with issues. On this one bed I bought I have had to call them 20 times. Buy from them at your owner risk.
The worst customer service team ever! They all lie and never call back
The worst customer service experience ever! Ordered a set 2 of the 3 peices were the wrong colour. The one that was right had the wrong colour cushions and ripped at the seams within a week. After numerous phone calls shop visits and emails, with constant lies and false promises from staff, we asked for a refund, only for only 2 peices to be cancelled and now being refused a refund because the other peice is 'still on order'. Shocking service, been waiting for 12 weeks now!
Furniture Village -FAILED
A simple order of a table and two chairs has turned into a nightmare. FV-FAILED: to check the items sent from supplier. FV-FAILED: to contact supplier and sort the missing parts. FV-FAILED: to sort this problem for over a month whilst items in FV warehouse. FV-FAILED: to pass ordered items to currier. FV-FAILED: to contact customer as promised. FV-FAILED: to apologise to customer. FV-FAILED: to provide customer with confidence that the errors would be sorted, but simply said, "you will have to wait for contact from the delivery team". We will never use FV again, and only hope we get the table ordered.
Excellent Quality Furniture
This store sold a dining set that I bought, and I'm pretty happy with the workmanship. The finish is exquisite, and the materials are sturdy. The staff were helpful throughout the process, making the experience seamless.
Communications black hole.
Originally informed that delivery would be 2 weeks, online it says 21 days once I ordered it I received an order confirmation with a delivery estimate of 7 weeks, the next day, another confirmation of 8 weeks. It's now been 8 weeks and no communication what so ever, you can't chase it because you only have two options, pre sales and after sales, everything in-between is a black hole. Really disappointed, we'll see if it actually turns up.
Disappointing Experience with Misleading Information and Poor Customer Service
I purchased a sofa, but the shop assistant, seemingly more focused on earning his commission, failed to inform me that in-store purchases cannot be returned or exchanged. However, returns are possible if the item is ordered online. The sofas are labeled as grey both in-store and online, but they are actually green. When I contacted customer service, they offered no assistance. The level of customer care was extremely poor. I would not recommend buying anything from Furniture Village and would advise others to avoid them. Their service is pleasant and helpful only until you make the payment—after that, they disregard your concerns
There was very little communication
My order was delivered with problems. There was very little communication regarding the causes of the two-week delay. The procedure was annoying because there were no updates.
Delivery Issues
The sofa I bought is lovely and very comfortable, but there were some delivery issues. It arrived a week later than expected, and communication about the delay could have been better. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase, but timely delivery is an area for improvement.

Diabolical Customer Service
FV The customer ‘service’ is horrendous and the internal communication is appalling. I have had to chase a number of issues for a YEAR. The latest being that a staff member from their repair department tried to steam out a mark on my sofa that he created and left a ‘stain’ as a result. I was told replacement fabric would be ordered to rectify. Having not heard anything for a few weeks I followed up with an email. FV complaints were not aware. Did the report not reach them? Did they ignore it? Even worse is the staff member who created the issue (although unintentionally) has refused to accept that he caused it. I have external and internal cameras in my home which have captured his attendance. Emails seem to be ignored as is the severity of the issue. Why should a customer have to be chasing a company over issues they created? Very stressful and upsetting from a company whose own CEO said in ‘The Business Magazine’ that he believed in serving “customers right, give a customer a good deal and do what you say you’re going to do”
Cannot Be Happier!
I felt like hitting a jackpot to find a beautiful 3 seater fabric sofa at such fair prices. Fortunately; I came across Furniture Village at the right time when they had their discount deals going on.
